IBM Fall Fest 2024 @CWRU

Third Time’s the Charm

Ever wanted to learn about Quantum Computing, but unsure where to start?

You’re in the right place.

This event is designed to bring quantum computing to everyone: whether you’re a total newcomer or a seasoned vet. For newcomers, learn the basics of quantum computing with guided notebooks to help you along the way. Learn from the best, with informational videos to supplement active learning. If this isn’t your first rodeo, you can participate in advanced challenges designed to test your knowledge and prowess in the field.

Though the event is from 10am-4pm, don’t feel obligated to stay that long! We designed this event to be self driven: if you complete your challenges and are ready to go, don’t let us stop you.

Qiskit Notebooks

We will be using Qiskit notebooks to begin our foray into the world of quantum computing. Don’t worry, we will show you how to get started! But, if you want to get ahead of the curve, take a look at Qiskit and how it works.

Logistics

We will host the Fall Fest on the first floor of the Sears thinkBox on Oct. 5th from 10am-4pm EST. We will serve Bruegger’s bagels for breakfast, and catered Potbelly sandwiches for lunch. Parking is available at the Veale Parking Garage. Please note that there is no free parking at the thinkBox itself (trust us, we’re not happy about it either).
